Sergio currently serves as CEO of ANETO, an independent Asset Management company and multi-family office he founded years ago. Previously he was Senior Portfolio Manager for INVESCO, managing institutional and private portfolios, and Investment professional at banks such as UBS, HSBC or LGT, where he trained many of its junior bankers. As a Managing Director, he also led International Teams in Europe and South America.

Lately, he has engaged in entrepreneurship. He recently launched Carbonera, a carbon capture and storage Venture Capital fund. Previously, he was general partner at Aspiro Capital, a Taipei based early stage venture capital firm. At Aspiro, Sergio completed sizable investments in high technology companies based in the US and Asia. 

Sergio holds a double Master’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance from the University of Barcelona and conducted graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School. He has also performed research in Asset Allocation and Financial Mathematics.

A member of the Forest Stewardship Council in Switzerland and a lecturer on Asset Management and Carbon Economics at different Asian universities, Sergio is also active on Linkedin.
