Institute of Global Asset Management aims to empower Taiwan to harness the emerging Fintech trend through cultivating talents for industries and financial institutions. To this end, a variety of modules are designed to familiarize our student with academic theories and practices in the fields. all module should achieve the following objectives:
- Development of Key Skills: modules will first introduce basic theoretical structure. At this stage, we explore the context of (i) international asset management, global asset allocation, investment portfolios, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment and current financial trends. Furthermore, financial decision-making and risk management related courses investigate topics of (ii) financial decision-making, fundraising and financing, and financial risk management. The Micro-Programs of Sustainable Banking & Finance illustrates (iii) corporate sustainability strategies, impact investment, sustainable responsible investment, inclusive finance, green finance and related issues. The Micro-Programs of Digital Banking & Finance to explore (iv) innovative financial technology, big data analysis, AI, machine learning, block chains and regulatory technologies.
- Development of Technical Skills: the three Micro-Programs of international asset management, digital finance, and sustainable finance will utilize Harvard Case Studies for the development of cross-disciplinary skills. Lecturers from university will partner with mentors from industries to deliver modules for further reflecting academic theories on business operations.
- Implementation of Innovative Business Models: Implementing innovative business models is the core of the program of the Global Asset Management Institute. Through the two-year module on innovative business models, students will develop analytical skills and apply knowledge learned to business practices.
